Winter Cabin Getaway
This tutorial was written by me on January 13, 2024. The results are of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PS.
Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.
Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)
Supplies needed
I am using Adobe Photoshop 2024 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube: I am using Katharine's beautiful tube "Romantic Samantha". This tube comes with multiple layers. Please do not use this tube without a proper license. You can purchase it here.
PTU Kit: I am using a gorgeous matching kit called "Winter Cabin Getaway" created by Wicked Princess Scraps. You can purchase this beautiful kit here.
Mask: Miz_Mask 208 and 209 by Mizteeques. Thank you for your awesome masks. You can download it from her blog here. I am using the png versions for this tutorial.
Font of choice for your name.
Plug in: None
Drop shadow of choice.
Please read all the Artist's/Designer's TOU.
To open an image, I click on the element or paper in the file folder and drag it into PS.
To transfer an element or paper in PS to my tag, I left click and drag it into my working canvas.
The other way is to left click and drag the element from the folder right onto your tag.
Either way you will get the same results but the resizing will be different :). I will be using the both method for this tutorial.
For resizing and rotating I use the Ctrl+T command.
To mirror or Flip go to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal (mirror) or Flip vertical (Flip).
Remember to save often.
Let's get started.
Open a new 800x800 transparent image. We will resize later.
Add a new raster layer.
Go to layers, New fill layer, solid color. When the pop up window appears type in FFFFFF and click ok.
Drag Mizteeque's mask 208 into the tag. Resize W: 119.14 H: 113.19% and move to the top left.
Drag paper 15 into your tag. Move over the mask to a spot you like best.
Right click on the paper layer and select "Create a clipping mask". Merge these two layers together. We will come back to the mask layer in the tutorial.
Drag Mizteeque's mask 208 into the tag. Move to the top right.

Drag element 39 into the tag. Resize 58.59% and move to the top left of the tag.
Drag element 74 into the tag. Resize 73.55%, duplicate, merge down and move to the bottom of the house. Duplicate, mirror and move to the lower right of the right mask.
Drag element 75 into the tag. Resize 62.34% and move to the bottom right of the right mask.
Drag element 108 into the tag. Resize 13.44% and move to the bottom left of element 74 by the house.
Drag element 52 into the tag. Resize 34.84% and move to the top left the copy of element 74.
Drag element 75 into the tag. Resize 87.66% and move to the left of the house.
Drag element 36 into the tag. Resize 43.43% and move to the bottom of element 74 slightly lower and to the right of the rock.
Drag element 15 into the tag. Resize 22.60% and move to the bottom of the hot tub. Duplicate, mirror and move to the bottom of the ski lift.
Drag element 54 into the tag. Resize 32.18% and move to the left of the small tree on the right.
Select layer of element 15 and duplicate. Drag this layer above element 54 and move to the bottom of the ski rack.
Select layer of element 108, duplicate and mirror. Drag this layer above copy of element 15 and move to the bottom right.
Drag element 72 into the tag. Resize 16.68% and move to the bottom of the snow by the hot tub.
Drag element 28 into the tag. Resize 29.22%, mirror and move to the right of the skates.
Drag element 27 into the tag. Resize 75.77% and move to the center of the tag.
Drag element 40 into the tag. Resize 22.18% and move to the left center of the tree.
Drag element 123 into the tag. Resize 44.49% and move to the lower right of the tree just below right rock on the right. Duplicate, and move down slightly from the original element 123. Duplicate one more time and move to the lower left of the bench.
Drag element 71 into the tag. Resize 22.06% and move to the left of the left of the rock on the right.
Drag element 51 into the tag. Resize 17.50% and move to the left of the lantern.
Drag element 108 into the tag. Resize 13.44%, mirror and move to the bottom of the dog. See mine for placement.
Drag element 107 into the tag. Resize 37%, mirror and move to the bottom of the snow over the bench.
Drag element 108 into the tag. Resize 13.44% and move to the center of element 107.
Drag your tube into PS. Select the color layer you like. I am using the Girl 4 layer. Drag your tube into the tag. Right click and convert to Smart object. Resize 20% and move to the bottom center of the tree. Her hood should be by the owls.
Drag element 60 into the tag. Resize 14.84% and move to the bottom of the rock on the left.
Drag element 44 into the tag. Resize 19.37% and move to the bottom left of the tube.
Drag element 37 into the tag. Resize 19.37% and move to the left of the blankets.
Drag element 58 into the tag. Resize 11.72% and move to the right of the lantern.
Drag element 43 into the tag. Resize 12.50% and move to the bottom right of the blankets.
Drag element 49 into the tag. Resize 11.09% and move to the left of the mitts.
Drag element 29 into the tag. Resize 8.75% and move to the bottom right of the tube by her foot.
Drag element 57 into the tag. Resize 8.59% and move to the bottom of the helmet.
Drag element 38 into the tag. Resize 25.47% and move to the bottom left of the tube.
Drag element 50 into the tag. Resize 14.22% and move to the left of the fire pit.
Drag element 41 into the tag. Resize 17.65%, mirror and move to the right of the kitten.
Drag element 11 into the tag. Resize 14.22% and move to the bottom right of the boots.
We are done with the elements. Now back to the mask layers.
Select mask layer 208 and duplicate. Resize the H only to 14.29% and move under the hot tub. Duplicate this layer and move it under the house by the snow. Duplicate and move under the fallen tree. Duplicate and move under the snow where the skates are. Duplicate again and move under the tree on the right. Duplicate again and mirror. Now drag paper 10 into the mask and resize it H: only to 18.45 and move over this mask to a spot you like best. Right click on the paper layer and create a clipping mask. Merge these two layers together. Move under the tube on the right. Duplicate this layer and move to the left under the fallen tree and lantern.
Add any other elements you like and make any adjustments to the layers.
Crop away any extra space.
Resize the tag to your liking if needed. I usually resize mine by 650 on the width side unless it is already smaller than 650.
Oh almost forgot we need to drop shadow all of our elements. I actually do the drop shadow at the end :)
Select the element on the bottom of your tag in the layer pallet and double click it. I started with element 39.
A layer style window will pop up. Click on Drop shadow. and use the following settings:

Now right click on the layer you just applied the drop shadow. Click copy layer style.
Now click on the layer above, holding down your shift key and select the top layer. Right click and paste layer style.
Drop shadow complete :)
Add your copyright and name.
Hide the white background layer.
Save your tag and export as png.
