Anytime you resize an element or tube you should sharpen it. I do this for each layer. To do this go to Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen.
Save your tag often as you do not want to loose it if psp crashes.
Let's get started.
Open Allison's beach template. Hold down the shift+d to duplicate it and close the original. Delete the info layer. We want to add some elements to this so we need to make the canvas larger. Go to Image, Canvas size. The original size is 645x232. I want to add 100 pixels to each side. Change the width to 745 and the height to 332 Lock aspect ratio unchecked. In the placement make sure the center is clicked.
Add a new raster layer and move to the bottom of the layer pallet. Flood fill white.
Open paper of choice. I am using paper 3, copy and close the original. Standing on your white layer, add a new raster layer and select all. Edit, paste into selections. Select none.
Layers, new mask layer, from image and select Miz_Mask_074 from the drop down and click ok. In the layer pallet, delete the mask layer (black & white layer). You will get a warning that it will merge a layer click ok. Merge group. Image resize 120% all layers not checked. I move it up slightly.
Open element 58, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 75% and move to the bottom of the wordart. Drop shadow.

Open element 2, copy and close the original. Standing on the beach word layer, paste as a new layer. Resize 60% and move to the far right of the word art. Drop shadow. Select the beach word layer. Using your magic wand click on the outside of the word art. You might have to click in the center of the A also if you do not see marching ants round the center. Back to your element layer and hit delete. Select none.
Open element 64, copy and close the original. Select the beach word layer and paste. Move up about 3/4 of the word art. Select the beach word layer. Using your magic wand click on the outside of the word art. You might have to click in the center of the A and B also if you do not see marching ants round the center. Back to your element layer and hit delete. Select none. Change the blend mode to Luminance (L) and lower the opacity to 80.
Open element 6, copy and close the original. Select the water layer and paste. Resize 30% and move into a spot you like. I moved mine so the head was in the top of the E and drop shadow. Select the beach word layer. Using your magic wand click on the outside of the word art. Back to your element layer and hit delete. Select none.
Open element 14, copy and close the original. Select the coral layer and paste. Resize 10% and move into the C. I move it to the upper left. Drop shadow.

Select the beach word layer. Using your magic wand click on the outside of the word art. You might have to click in the center of the A also if you do not see marching ants round the center. Back to your element layer and hit delete. Select none.
Open element 1, copy and close the original. Select the water layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the left so it starts in the B. Drop shadow. Animating the tag. Add your Name and copyright. If you have not done so resize your tag. Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked. Make sure your tag is saved as you do not want to loose it if psp crashes.
Might want to grab a coffee :)
Open Simone Ani 371 in psp. I used the one without the drop shadow. I numbered all the layers in the ani so it is easier to do the animation. Starting from the bottom Frame 1 and work your way to the top, there is a total of 24 frames. If you numbered them the top layer should be frame 24 and the bottom frame 1. Save the ani as pspimage. This way if you use it again it will have all they layers numbered :).
You can use all 24 layers if you chose but it will be heavy on the animation. I am going to only use all even numbered layers. Standing on layer 24 in the layer pallet, hold down your Ctrl and select the next even number layer 22. Repeat this until you have all even number layers highlighted in the layer pallet. All even layers selected? Now for the next step.
Go to layers, New group layer. A window will pop open and click ok.
Scroll all the way to the top. You will see a new layer called Group 1 with all the even layers under it. This is what we want to see :). Beside the group 1 layer you will see a little white arrow pointing down. Click on this to collapse the animation. In the upper right of the layer pallet you will see an icon that looks like a chain link. Click on this. You will now notice a change link on your group 1 layer. This will lock all the layers so when you need to move it or resize it all the layers under group 1 will move or resize at the same time.
Standing on group 1, go to edit and copy. Now back to your tag and paste as a new layer. Unfortunately, the ani will only paste to the very top. Click on the little white arrow beside group 1 to collapse it again. Close off Simone's animation and do not save.
I want group 1 to be under the Beach overlay layer. Select group 1 and left click your mouse and drag the group layer down the layer pallet until it is under beach overlay. Or you can go to Layers arrange, Move down and repeat this until it is under the beach overlay layer.
Move the animation into a spot you like best. I moved mine up slightly. So now we have the animation in place but it is on the outside of our word. We need to fix this. Select beach word layer, select all, float, defloat. Selections, modify, contract by 2. Select group one layer. now go to Layers, New mask layer, show selection. You will notice in your layer pallet you have a new group layer called group-Group 1 and our mask layer then the group 1 layer under that. This is good we want this :). Now standing on Group-Group 1 click on the chain link to link all our layers and groups together.
Next step.
Select the little arrow beside group 1. This will expand the group.
You will see all the numbered layers. Starting with frame 24, click on the eyeball beside this layer repeat this step for all the layers so only layer 2 is visible.
Open animation shop.
Back to psp. With only frame 2 of the animation visible, edit, copy special, copy merged.
Back to Animation shop.
Edit, paste as new animation or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.
**Back to psp.
Hide Frame 2 by clicking on the eyeball and unhide frame 4 by clicking on the eyeball. Edit, copy special, copy merged.
Back to Animation Shop.
We need to paste after current frame. Go to edit, paste after current frame. Keyboard shortcut Shift+Ctrl+L**
Repeat from **to** until you have twelve frames in animation shop. It will tell you on the bottom right corner how many frames you have.
Now in Animation shop go to Edit, select all. I want to slow the animation down. Go to Animation, Frame properties and on the display time tab change the number to 15. The higher the number the slower the animation. Click ok.
Go to file Save as and click next and next until you hit finished. I use the default settings.
I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial. I would love to see your results.
