This tutorial was written by me on June 6, 2020. The results are of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP 2018 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using a beautiful tube called "Pirate Adventures" created by Katharine Art.  Please do not use this tube without a proper license.

PTU Kit:  I am using a gorgeous matching kit called "Pirate Adventures" created by Tiny Turtle Designs.  You can purchase the kit here.

No mask as I used the elements from the scrap kit.

Font of choice for your name.

Plug in: None

Drop shadow of choice.

Vivienne's Paintbox has awesome drop shadow settings that I use a lot.  You can find the settings here and check out her awesome tutorials :)

Anytime you resize an element or tube you should sharpen it.  Go to adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

Let's get started.

Remember to save your tag often in case psp crashes.  I always save my tags as a pspimage.  It keeps all the layers and if you make tags for others you will always have the template.

Open a new 750x800 transparent image.  We will resize later.

Add a new layer and flood fill with white.

Open element 8, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 80%, sharpen and move to the upper left.  Duplicate, mirror and move to the bottom right.

Open element 88, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 70%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the upper right of the spray.

Open element 66, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 80%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the upper left.  See mine for placement.

Open element 136, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the upper left.  See mine for placement.

Open element 68, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the upper left so it covers the bottom of the ship.  See mine for placement.

Open element 64, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the upper left so it covers the water edge.  See mine for placement.

Open element 71, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 95% and sharpen.  Move up slightly so it covers the water edge.  Duplicate and move down and to the right slightly.  Drop shadow each layer.

Open Element 109, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50% and sharpen.  Move to the upper right over the leaves.  (see mine for placement).  Using your magic wand, click inside the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 5.  Add a new raster layer and move this under the frame.  Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 22, copy and close the original.  Select the new raster layer, edit, paste into selections.  Do not deselect.  Copy your close up tube and paste as a new layer.  I resized mine by 50% and moved her face into the frame.  Selections, invert and standing on the closeup, hit delete on the keyboard.  Select none.  Change the blend mode to soft light on the tube and drop shadow the frame.

Open element 37, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the upper left of the frame.

Open element 133, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Drop shadow and move to the upper left of the frame.

Open element 69, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60% and sharpen. Move to the lower left of the frame.  Duplicate and bring this layer down slightly.  Merge down and drop shadow.  See mine for placement.

Open element 11, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the frame.

Open element 44, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the frame.

Open element 79, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 25%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the frame.

Open element 58, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the frame.

Open element 151, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 25%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the rock.

Open element 54, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 25%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom center of the rock.

Open element 93, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the left of the rock in front of the map.

Open element 55, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the skeleton.

Open element 154, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom center of the Chest.

Open element 86, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the Chest.

Open element 137, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move it to the top of the palm tree.

Copy your tube.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 32%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move into place.  See mine for placement.

Open element 142, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Drag this layer under the tube layer and move it to bottom left of the tube.

Open element 72, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 70%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the tube and slightly to the right.

Open element 69, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60%, sharpen and drop shadow. Drag this layer under the sand hill layer and move to the bottom of the bottom of the tag slightly to the right.

Open element 36, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the sand hill so it covers the edge of the two sand layers.

Open element 156, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the sand hill.

Open element 140, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 12%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the lantern.

Open element 135, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the left of the barrel.

Open element 141, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the skeleton.

Open element 158, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the top skeleton by the hip.

Open element 158, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the top skeleton by the hip.

Open element 10, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom center of the sand hill.

Open element 30, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the skeleton.

Open element 65, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50% and sharpen. Drag this layer under the sand layer and move to the bottom of the sand.

Open element 68, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50%, sharpen and Drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the sand where it meets the water.  I used my pick to move the right side down a bit and dragged the right side in a bit so it formed a little better to the shape of the sand.

If you have not done so save your tag as a .pspimage

Hide the white layer and crop away the extra space around the tag.

Image, resize by 650 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.

Add your copyright and name and export as png.
