Steampunk Valentine
This tutorial was
written by me on February 6, 2024. The results are of my own imagination.

This was written
assuming you have a working knowledge of PS.
Please keep in mind
that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.
Sometimes I may not
explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever
in doubt :)
Supplies needed:
I am using Adobe
Photoshop 2024 but this tutorial should work with any version.
You can download the

FTU Kit: I am
using a gorgeous kit called "Steampunk Valentine" created by Adrienne’s
Designs. You can download her beautiful kit here.
I am using Steampunk
Valentine Tubes 2(1) from AI Steampunk Valentine tubes pack 2.
FTU Masks: I am using Vivienne’s masks 6 and mask
92. I am using the PNG version for this
tutorial. You can download the masks
from her blog here.
Font of choice for
your name.
Plug in: None
Drop shadow of
choice.
Please read all the
Artist's/Designer's TOU.
To open an image, I
click on the element or paper in the file folder and drag it into PS.
To transfer an
element or paper in PS to my tag, I left click and drag it into my working
canvas.
The other way is to
left click and drag the element from the folder right onto your tag.
Either way you will
get the same results, but the resizing will be different :). I will be
using both methods for this tutorial.
For resizing and
rotating I use the CTRL + T command.
To mirror or Flip go
to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal (mirror) or Flip vertical (Flip).
Remember to save
often.
Let's get started.
Open a new 800x800
transparent image. We will resize later.
Go to layers, new
fill layer, solid color. When the pop-up window appears type in FFFFFF
and click ok.
Drag Vivian's Mask 6
into the tag. Resize 23.39% and move to the far right about midway down. Drag paper 6 into the tag. Re size 30.76% and move over the mask into a
place you like best. Once happy with placement, right click on the paper layer
and select Create a clipping mask. Merge
these to layers together. Duplicate and
move to the top left of the tag.
Drag Vivian's Mask 92
into the tag. Resize 30.91% and move to the middle of the two masks. Drag paper 6 into the tag. Re size 30.76% and move over the mask into a
place you like best. Once happy with placement, right click on the paper layer
and select Create a clipping mask. Merge
these to layers together. Duplicate and
resize H: only to 25.37% and move to the bottom of the tag. Duplicate, mirror and resize W: 68.12% H:
17.25% and move to the bottom center of the tag.
Drag element 47 into
the tag. Resize 10.73% and move to the top center of the tag.
Drag element 26 into
the tag. Resize 21.80% and move to the top left of the tag.
Drag element 24 into
the tag. Resize 21.31% and move to the lower right of element 26.
Drag element 45 into
the tag. Resize 10.63% and move to the upper right of element 24.
Drag element 29 into
the tag. Resize 13.29% and move to the lower left of element 24.
Drag element 23 into
the tag. Resize 14.52% and move to the lower right of the house on the left.
Drag frame 2 into the
tag. Re size 17.72% and move over element 23.
Drag paper one into
the tag. Move this layer under the frame layer. Resize 12.92% and move it into
a spot you like best inside the frame. Select the frame layer. Using your magic
wand, click the inside of the frame. Go
to, Select, Modify, Expand by 10. Select
the paper layer click on the mask icon in the bottom of the layer palette.
Select the top layer.
Drag element 21 into
the tag. Mirror and resize 14.71%. Move to the right of the frame.
Drag element 5 into
the tag. Resize 7.38% and move to the bottom right of element 21.
Drag element 61 into
the tag. Resize 10.33% and mirror. Move to the bottom right of element 5.
Drag element 16 into
the tag. Resize 6.35% and move to the bottom left of the element 16.
Drag element 89 into
the tag. Resize 5.46% and move to the bottom left of element 61 just right of
element 16.
Drag element 9 into
the tag. Resize 7.82% and move to the far left of the frame about midway.
Drag element 51 into
the tag. Resize 11.12% and move to the bottom of element 9.
Drag element 17 into
the tag. Resize 6.84% and move to the bottom left of element 51.
Drag element 4 into
the tag. Resize 6.10% and move to the bottom right of element 17.
Drag the tube into
the tag. Resize 14.49% and move to the right of the frame.
Drag element 57 into
the tag. Resize 8.46% and move to the bottom right of the tube.
Drag element 131 into
the tag. Resize 8.76% and move to the bottom left of the tube.
Drag element 86 into
the tag. Resize 5.41% in move to the bottom right of the TV.
Drag element 14 to
the tag. Resize 7.09% and move to the bottom left of the flowers.
Drag element 122 into
the tag. Resize 6.20% and move to the bottom left of the cake.
Drag element 63 into
the tag. Resize 6.79% and move to the bottom left of the TV.
Drag element 84 into
the tag. Resize 5.17% and move to the bottom of element 63.
Drag element 93 into
the tag. Resize 6.45% and move to the bottom left of the cake.
Drag element 79 into
the tag. Resize 6.84% and move to the bottom of the clock.
Drag element 83 into
the tag. Resize 4.77% and move to the bottom of the jars.
Drag element 115 into
the tag. Resize 7.58% and move to the bottom right of the rose in the glass.
Drag element 124 into
the tag. Resize 4.86% and move to the bottom right of the luggage.
Drag element 127 into
the tag. Resize 3.15% and move to the bottom right of the tray with glasses.
Drag element 107 into
the tag. Resize 6.50% and move to the bottom left of the coffee mug.
Add any other
elements you like and make any adjustments to the layers.
Crop away any extra
space.
Image, Image Size and
resize 650 on the longest side if needed.
Oh almost forgot we
need to drop shadow all of our elements. I do the drop shadow at the end
:)
Select the element on
the bottom of your tag in the layer pallet and double click it. I started
with element 47.
A layer style window
will pop up. Click on Drop shadow. and use the following settings.
Click on image to
enlarge it to view it better.
Now right click on the layer you just applied the drop shadow. Click copy layer style.
Now click on
the layer above and hold down the shift key, select the layer under the paper
layer of the frame. Right click and paste layer styles.
Select the frame layer, holding down the shift key, select the top layer. Right
click and paste layer styles.
Drop shadow
complete :)
Add your copyright
and name.
Make any adjustments
to the layers.
If you do not
want to animate. Hide the white background layer and export your tag as
png.

FTU: Secrets

Supplies needed
I am using PSP 2018 but this tutorial should work with any version.
PTU Tube: I am using Enys Guerrero's 14-3 Mended Heart tube. Please do not use this tubes without a proper license.

FTU Kit: I am using an awesome kit called "Secrets" created by Chaos Priestess. You can download the kit from her blog here.
Mask: Mask 187. Created by Mizteeques. You can download it here. Open and minimize in PSP.
FTU Font: Problem Secretary. You can download it from Dafont here.
Plug in: None
I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V 0 H 5, Opacity 75, blur 10, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.
Let's get started.
Open a new 750x800 transparent image. We will resize later.
Add a new raster layer and select all.
Open paper 8, copy and close the original. Edit, paste into selections. Select none. Layers, new mask layer from image. Find Mask 187 in the drop down and click ok. Merge group.
Open SFrameEl03, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 75%. Using your magic wand, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 10. Add a new raster layer Open paper 2, copy and close the original. Standing on the new raster layer, edit, paste into selections. Select none.
Open and copy your tube. Paste as a new layer. Image, resize 75% and move to the left inside edge of the frame. Duplicate, on the duplicate tube, adjust blur, gaussian blur by 5, change the blend mode to soft light. Drop shadow the main tube and frame.
Open SFlowerScatterEl, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Move up and slightly to the left. Drop shadow.
Open SDoodleEl01, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Move to up and to the right. Duplicate, image, mirror, image flip. Move slightly to the left. Drop shadow each layer.
Open SIvyEl01, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 75% and move to the right side of the frame. Duplicate. Image, free rotate to the right 90 degrees and move to the bottom of the frame. Drop shadow each layer.
Open SStringEl01, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the bottom right corner of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open SParchmentEl, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 30%. Image, free rotate 20 degrees to the right. Move to the bottom right corner of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open SBookEl01, copy and close the original. Select the top ivy layer and paste. Resize 50% and mirror. Move to the bottom of the frame and slightly to the right. Drop shadow.
Open SWordart El01, copy and close the original. Select the bottom ivy frame and paste. Move to the lower left corner of the frame and drop shadow.
Open SSkullEl01, copy and close the original. Select the doodle layer and paste. Mirror and move to right about midway. Drop shadow.
Open SRibbonEl01, copy and close the original. Select the book layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom right. Drop shadow.
Open SFlowerEl04, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 60% and move to the far right of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open SLaceHeartEl, copy and close the original. Select the bottom doodle and paste. Resize 75%, image free rotate 90 degrees to the right. Move to the far left. Duplicate and mirror. Move up slightly.
Open SFlowerEl02, copy and close the original. Select the Secret sign layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the upper left of the book. Duplicate and move to the bottom right corner of the frame. Drop shadow each layer.
Open SFlowerEl05, copy and close the original. Select the top purple flower and paste. Resize 30% and move to the left of the book. Drop shadow.
Open STeardropEl02, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom right so you see the teardrops under the ribbon. Drop shadow.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visible.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.
Adjust sharpness, Unsharpen mask, radius and clipping set to 5 and strength set to 30. Click ok.
Add your copyright and name.
Save as png.

Add a new raster layer and move it under the frame. Open paper 11, copy and close the original. Select the new raster layer and paste into selections. Select none. Drop shadow the frame and merge down. Image, free rotate to the left 10 degrees. Move the frame under the clock layer and to the upper left corner.
Open element 21, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 50% and again by 70% move down and to the left. See mine for placement. Drop shadow.
Copy your tube. I used the one with steam, paste as a new layer and resize 80%. Move down and slightly to the left. Drop shadow.
Open element 11, copy and close the original. Select the sugar pack layer and paste. Resize 70% and move to the bottom left behind the cat. Drop shadow.
Open element 24, copy and close the original. Select the coffee bean bag layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom right behind the cat. Drop shadow.
Open element 25, copy and close the original. Select the clock layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the upper left. Drop shadow.
Open element 17, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the bottom left so it covers part of the tail. Drop shadow.
Open element 22, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 20% and move to the bottom right so it covers the cat's elbow. Drop shadow.
Open element 23, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 15% and move in front of the sugar bowl. Drop shadow.
Open element 38, copy and close the original. Select the coffee grinder layer and paste. Resize 20%, image free rotate, 90 degrees to the right. Move to the bottom right so it is behind the sugar bowl. Do not Drop shadow yet.
Open element 39, copy and close the original. Select the coffee grinder layer and paste. Resize 20% and move to the milk jug so it looks like the milk spilled. Merge down the milk jug and splatter and drop shadow.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visible.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.
Adjust sharpness, Unsharpen mask, radius and clipping set to 5 and strength set to 30. Click ok.
Add your copyright and name.
Save as png.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. If you are using the same tube as I am, resize 30% and add a drop shadow.
Open element 42, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste Resize 70% and drop shadow. Move slightly up and to the left.
Open element 48, copy and close the original. Select the book layer and paste. Drop shadow. Move up slightly so it looks like she is sitting on the pillows.
Open element 46, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 70% and move to the bottom left so it lines up with the grass from the pillows. Drop shadow.
Open element 69, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 80% and move to the left and up so you see the castle above the book. Drop shadow.
Open element 36, copy and close the original. Select the book layer and resize 30%. Move to the bottom right and drop shadow.
Open element 40, copy and close the original. Select the tree layer and paste. Resize 70% and move to the upper right corner. Drop shadow.
Open element 60, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 70% and move up and over slightly to the right. Drop shadow.
Open element 28, copy and close the original. Select the pillow layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom left so it is behind the tubes knee. Drop shadow.
Open element 43, copy and close the original. Select the pillow layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom left so it is behind the tubes legs. Drop shadow.
Open element 5, copy and close the original. Select the large tree layer and paste. Move to the top center.
Open element 33, copy and close the original. Select the mushroom house layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the bottom left so it is behind the pillows. Drop shadow.
Open element 41, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the bottom left so it is in front of her foot. Drop shadow.
Open element 8, copy and close the original. Select the tree layer with the castle and paste. Resize 50% and mirror. Move to the far left middle. Drop shadow.
Open element 37, copy and close the original. Select the harp layer and paste. Resize 40% and mirror. Move behind the mushroom house and drop shadow.
Open element 70, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 70% and move to the bottom left so the long daisy is just in front of her foot. Duplicate and mirror. Move this layer under the tube and to the far right so it covers the edge of the grass. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 50, copy and close the original. Select the bottom scatter flower layer and paste. Resize 70% and drop shadow.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visible.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.
Adjust sharpness, Unsharpen mask, radius and clipping set to 5 and strength set to 30. Click ok.
Add your copyright and name.
Save as png.

Let's get started.
Open a new 750x800 transparent image. We will resize later.
Open Paper 7, copy and close the original. Add a new raster layer. With the new layer selected go to edit, paste into selection, select none. Apply mask and merge group. Resize 90%.
Ope backdrop, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste.
Open chickenwire, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Move to the upper left and drop shadow.
Open Moon El2, copy and close the original. Select the chickenwire and paste. Resize 70% and move up slightly. Drop shadow.
Open frame 1, copy and close the original. Select the backdrop layer and paste. Move to the right. Using your magic wand, click in the center of the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 5. Add a new raster layer and move this under the frame. Open paper of choice. I am using paper 6, copy and close the original. Select the new raster layer, edit, paste into selection. Select none and drop shadow the frame.
Copy your tube and select the top layer. Paste and resize 35%. Drop shadow. Move the tube up slightly.
Open HeartEL01, copy and close the original Select the frame layer and paste. Image, free rotate to the left 20% and drop shadow.
Open element 1, copy and close the original. Select the heart layer and paste. Resize 40%. Duplicate and mirror. Move the duplicate to the bottom right so it peeks out from behind the tube and move the original to the upper left of the tube. Drop shadow each layer.
Open StringEL02, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Resize 80% and move to the upper left. Drop shadow.
Open HeartEl02, copy and close the original. Select the heart1 layer and paste. Resize 60% and move to the bottom left so it is touching the 8. Duplicate and mirror. Move to the top right so it peeks out from behind the tube. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element MS1, copy and close the original. Select the top flower layer and paste. Resize 80% and move to the bottom left so it is behind her feet. Drop shadow.
Open element MS2, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 80% and move to the bottom so it is in front of her knees. Drop shadow.
Open Flower 5, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 40% and duplicate. Move the duplicate to the top right corner of the blue sign and move the original to the left side of the blue sign. Drop shadow each layer.
Open Winged Heart, copy and close the original. Select the top layer nad paste. Resize 30% and move to the bottom right of the blue sign. Drop shadow.
Open flower 4, copy and close the original. Select the top flower layer under the tube and paste. Resize 40% and move under the right side of the feelings sign. Duplicate and mirror. Move to the left side of the sign and down a bit. Drop shadow each layer.
Open Flower 3, copy and close the original. Select the flower 4 layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the bottom left behind the feeling sign. Drop shadow.
Open Butterfly, copy and close the original. Select the flower 3 layer and paste. Resize 60% and free rotate 20 degrees to the left. Move to the lower left just above the flower. Duplicate and move this layer to the top. Mirror and resize 60%. Move to the bottom left of the blue sign. Drop shadow each layer.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visable.
Crop to remove the blank area.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.
Adjust sharpness, Unsharpen mask, radius and clipping set to 5 and strength set to 30. Click ok.
Add your copyright and name.
Save as png.

Copy your close up tube and paste as a new layer. Move the face into the frame slightly over to the left. Selections, invert and while standing on the tube layer, hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Change the blend mode to Luminance (L) and lower the opacity to 70. Drop shadow the frame.
Open Hanging tears, copy and close the original Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 60% and move to the center of the frame. Drop shadow.
Copy your main tube. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 80% and move up and slightly to the right. Drop shadow.
Open Doodle, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Move to the far left and up. Drop shadow.
Open Parchement, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Resize 75% and mirror. Image, free rotate to the right 20 degrees. Move to the far right and drop shadow.
Open NP2, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Move to the bottom of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open flower 2, copy and close the original Select the frame layer and paste. Move to the lower left corner. Duplicate and mirror. Move slightly over to the right and drop shadow each layer.
Open Foliage, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 50% and mirror. Move to the left side of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open Butterfly with Glitter, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 60% and move to the bottom left so it covers the top rough edge of the tube. Drop shadow.
Open flower 3, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the bottom center of the tube. Duplicate and move to the upper left so it covers the tube and NP2 corner. Drop shadow each layer.
Open Foliage again, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 30% and free rotate to the right 90 degrees. Move to the bottom right. Duplicate and mirror. Duplicate the original again and move under the right side of the center rose. Duplicate the left foliage and move under the left side of the center rose. Drop shadow each layer.
Open Flower 1, copy and close the original. Select the bottom foliage layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the bottom right. Duplicate and mirror. Move this layer under the top foliage layer and down to the bottom left. Drop shadow each layer.
Open heart, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 60% and move to the far bottom right so it covers the edge of the tube. Drop shadow.
Open Flower 4, copy and close the original. Select the top foliage layer and paste. Resize 35% and move to the bottom right of the center rose. Duplicate and mirror. Move slightly to the right so it is closer to the center rose. Drop shadow each layer.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visable.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.
Adjust sharpness, Unsharpen mask, radius and clipping set to 5 and strength set to 40. Click ok.
Add your copyright and name.
Save as png.

Blue Beauty
This tutorial was created by me on December 1st, 2011.
I am using psp x3 but any version should work. I am also using Animation shop.
Supplies
Tube of choice: I am using the gorgeous work of Barbara Jensen. You need a proper license to use her work which you can get here.
Scrapkit of choice: I am using FTU scrap kit called Northern lights by a very talented friend Vaybs. You can get this gorgeous kit here.
Font of choice
Plug ins: eyecandy 4000 gradient glow for name only (optional).
Lets get started
Open a new image 650x250. Open paper 8 copy and paste as a new layer on your new image. Move it around until you find an area you like.
Open element 53 copy & paste as a new layer.
Open element 52 copy & paste as a new layer and move to the left. See mine for placement.
Open element 49 resize 50% copy & paste as a new layer and move it under your tree layer.
Click on your top layer.
If you are using the same tube as me, copy your close up tube and paste as a new layer and move her to the right.
Drop shadow your tube layer & tree layer using h/v 3, opacity 50, blur 5.
Click on your bottom layer then your crop tool. Click merge opaque then click the green check mark. This will crop all your layers to fit you banner.
Click on your top layer and create a new raster layer, Select all, select modify and click on select selections boarders. When the new window pops up change the boarder to size 10, both sides and anti-alias checked. Pick a color from your tube or one of the elements and fill your boarder with this color. I used #456182, I added a drop shadow of v/h 1, opacity 100, blur 1. Apply the drop shadow again but change the v/h to -1. select none. Add your copyright and name.
For non-animation - Click adjust/add remove noise/add noise, uniform 60 monochrome checked. Apply the same noise to element 53, save as png. We don't want to merge until after we make the avatar.
To animate: Click on your element 53 (snowflake curtain) layer and duplicate it x2 and do the same for your frame layer. Working on the bottom element 53 layer click adjust/add remove noise/add noise uniform 60 monochrome checked.
Click on your second layer and repeat your noise but click on uniform x2. Select your third layer and add your noise but click on uniform x3. Repeat the same steps for your frame layers.
Hide your top 2 layers of the boarder & curtain layer by clicking on the eye. Go to edit/copy special/copy merged. Go to animation shop and Edit paste as new animation or Control V. Back to psp hide your boarder and curtain layers and make the second layers visible. Repeat the steps above but in animation shop paste after current frame or Control + Shift + L. Repeat these steps for your third layers in psp.
View your animation and save.
Avatar
Open a new image in paintshop 150x150 On your form you just created, hide the copyright, name & boarder layers.
Go to edit/copy special/copy merged and paste as a new layer on the avatar image.
Move your new layer until you find a spot you like (See mine for positioning).
Click on your bottom layer and crop merge opaque. (same as you did for the form).
Add a new raster layer.
Click on your top layer and select all/modify/selections to boarder When the new window pops up change the boarder to size, both sides and anti alias checked and flood fill with #456182 or color you chose for your form boarder.
Add the same noise 60 uniform monochrome checked.
Add your copyright and name and save as a png.
If you want to animate your avatar, duplicate your border x2 and follow the same steps as you did in the form for noise and animation.

Let is Snow
This tutorial was written by me on November 25, 2012 and are the result of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written assuming you have working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies needed
I am using PSP X4 but this tutorial should work with any version.
Animation Shop.
PTU Tube: I am using the fantastic bonus tube of Barbara Jensen.
Please do not use her artwork without a proper license.
You can purchase other tubes at Barbara's store here.
FTU Scrap Kit: I am using fantastic kit by Vaybs called Let is snow . Thank you so much for making this great kit. You can download it from her blog here.
Plug ins: Eyecandy 5 nature snow drift.
This tutorial was written using the supplies above. If you are using a different tube or scrap kit you may need to make adjustments. I am using a drop shadow of V/H 2 Opacity 50, blur 5 through out unless otherwise stated.
Open a new 600x250 transparent image.
Open paper of choice. I am using paper 5. Copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer. Select your bottom layer, Select all, image, crop to selection. Select none.
Open element 5. Copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer and move to the left side. See mine for placement.
Open element 45. Copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer and resize 70% Move this to the right side.
Open your tube, Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize 70% and place in the middle. Drop shadow.
Open element 27, copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer and resize 80%. Move this layer under your tube layer and move to the right. Drop shadow. See mine for placement.
Select your paper layer. Effects, Eyecandy 5 nature snow drift, small large snow pile from bottom click ok.
Select raster one, select all, image, crop to selection.
Select all again and select your top layer. Add a new raster layer, and flood fill with color of choice. I am using #9db7df. Selections, modify, contract by 6, and hit delete on your keyboard and select none.
Add a new raster layer and fill with a second color. I am using #d8d8d8. Select all, selections, modify, contract by 4 and hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Duplicate this layer x2.
You should now have 3 layers. rename them noise 1, noise 2 and noise 3. Select your bottom noise layer, Adjust, add/remove noise, add noise Gaussian checked, Noise 70%, monochrome checked. Click ok. Select your noise 2 layer and repeat the add noise but click on the Gaussian button x2. Select noise layer 3 and add noise, click the Gaussian button x3.
Add a new raster layer, flood fill it with your first color. Select all, selections, modify, contract by 2 and hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.
Add your copyright and name. If you do not want to animate, save as png and your done.
Animation
Close off noise 2 and 3 (click on the eye). Edit copy special and paste as a new animation in animation shop. Back to psp, close off noise 1 and open noise 2, copy special, copy merge, back to animation shop and paste after current frame or ctrl+shift+L. Back to psp, close off noise 2 and open noise 3. copy special, copy merged, back to animation shop and paste after current frame or ctrl+shift+L. View your animations.
Once happy with your banner, save.
If you want to make an avatar, duplicate your banner in psp, Image resize 80%. I moved my tube closer to the tree. Hide your frame layers, copyright and name, Merge visible. Select your crop tool and set your width and height to 150. Hit enter on your keyboard.
Repeat the steps for the animated boarder. Add your copyright and name or initial and save.
