FTU: Secrets
This tutorial was written by me on January 28, 2018. The results are of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.
Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)
Supplies needed
I am using PSP 2018 but this tutorial should work with any version.
PTU Tube: I am using Enys Guerrero's 14-3 Mended Heart tube. Please do not use this tubes without a proper license.
You can purchase it at CDO here.
FTU Kit: I am using an awesome kit called "Secrets" created by Chaos Priestess. You can download the kit from her blog here.
Mask: Mask 187. Created by Mizteeques. You can download it here. Open and minimize in PSP.
FTU Font: Problem Secretary. You can download it from Dafont here.
Plug in: None
I am using a drop shadow (D/S) of V 0 H 5, Opacity 75, blur 10, color black throughout the tutorial unless otherwise stated.
Let's get started.
Open a new 750x800 transparent image. We will resize later.
Add a new raster layer and select all.
Open paper 8, copy and close the original. Edit, paste into selections. Select none. Layers, new mask layer from image. Find Mask 187 in the drop down and click ok. Merge group.
Open SFrameEl03, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 75%. Using your magic wand, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 10. Add a new raster layer Open paper 2, copy and close the original. Standing on the new raster layer, edit, paste into selections. Select none.
Open and copy your tube. Paste as a new layer. Image, resize 75% and move to the left inside edge of the frame. Duplicate, on the duplicate tube, adjust blur, gaussian blur by 5, change the blend mode to soft light. Drop shadow the main tube and frame.
Open SFlowerScatterEl, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Move up and slightly to the left. Drop shadow.
Open SDoodleEl01, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Move to up and to the right. Duplicate, image, mirror, image flip. Move slightly to the left. Drop shadow each layer.
Open SIvyEl01, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 75% and move to the right side of the frame. Duplicate. Image, free rotate to the right 90 degrees and move to the bottom of the frame. Drop shadow each layer.
Open SStringEl01, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the bottom right corner of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open SParchmentEl, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 30%. Image, free rotate 20 degrees to the right. Move to the bottom right corner of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open SBookEl01, copy and close the original. Select the top ivy layer and paste. Resize 50% and mirror. Move to the bottom of the frame and slightly to the right. Drop shadow.
Open SWordart El01, copy and close the original. Select the bottom ivy frame and paste. Move to the lower left corner of the frame and drop shadow.
Open SSkullEl01, copy and close the original. Select the doodle layer and paste. Mirror and move to right about midway. Drop shadow.
Open SRibbonEl01, copy and close the original. Select the book layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom right. Drop shadow.
Open SFlowerEl04, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 60% and move to the far right of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open SLaceHeartEl, copy and close the original. Select the bottom doodle and paste. Resize 75%, image free rotate 90 degrees to the right. Move to the far left. Duplicate and mirror. Move up slightly.
Open SFlowerEl02, copy and close the original. Select the Secret sign layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the upper left of the book. Duplicate and move to the bottom right corner of the frame. Drop shadow each layer.
Open SFlowerEl05, copy and close the original. Select the top purple flower and paste. Resize 30% and move to the left of the book. Drop shadow.
Open STeardropEl02, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom right so you see the teardrops under the ribbon. Drop shadow.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visible.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.
Adjust sharpness, Unsharpen mask, radius and clipping set to 5 and strength set to 30. Click ok.
Add your copyright and name.
Save as png.

Let's get started.
Open a new 750x750 transparent image. We will resize later.
Open paper of choice. I am using paper 3, copy and close the original. Add a new raster layer, standing on the new layer, select all, Edit, paste into selections, select none. Go to Layers, New mask layer, from image. In the Source window, click the drop down and select Mask_0007_DFly, Source Luminance clicked and click ok. Merge group and resize 95%, all layers not checked.
Open frame 2, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and resize 68%. Using your magic wand, click inside the frame, selections, modify, expand by 5. Open paper of choice. I am using paper 2, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and add a new raster layer. Standing on the new layer, edit, paste into selections, select none.
Copy your tube, if you are using the same one as I am, select raster 2 of the tubes. Select the top layer and paste. Move up slightly and drop shadow. Using your magic wand, click inside the frame again. Selections, Invert. Using the eraser tool and standing on your tube layer, erase the bottom part of the tube that is sticking out from the frame. Select none and drop shadow the frame.
Open element 34, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 70% and move to the right and up slightly. Duplicate and move to the left side. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 16, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste Resize 70% and drop shadow.
Open element 21, copy and close the original. Select the mask layer and paste. Resize 90% and move to the right and up slightly. Duplicate and mirror. Move down slightly.
Open element 22, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 65% and move to the bottom of the frame and slightly to the left. Drop shadow.
Open element 36, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 20% and move to the bottom left so it lines up with the last skull. Drop shadow.
Open element 19, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom center so the rose overlaps it. Drop shadow.
Open element 12, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 30%. Image, free rotate to the right, 20 degrees. Move to the bottom so it sticks out between the rose and jewel. Drop shadow.
Open element 20, copy and close the original. Select the jewel layer and paste. Resize 60% and move to the bottom so it is slightly above the skulls. Drop shadow.
Open element 17, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 25% and move to the bottom right so it sticks out from behind the card and rose. Drop shadow.
Open element 4, copy and close the original. Select the tube layer and paste. Resize 20% and move to the bottom left so it lines up with the last skull. Drop shadow.
Open element 23, copy and close the original. Select the blue heart layer and paste. Resize 20% and move to the bottom left so it is between the jewel and black rose. Drop shadow.
Open element 27, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 20% and move to the bottom right so it is on the blue heart. Drop shadow.
Open element 28, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom left. Duplicate and mirror. Move the duplicate up and to the left slightly.
Open element 1, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 15% and move to the top right of the frame. Duplicate and mirror. Move the duplicate to the bottom left just above the black rose. Drop shadow each layer.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visible.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.

Alice in Wonderland

PTU Tube: I am using a gorgeous CDO Bonus (August 2015) tube called Wonderland created by
Enys Guerrero. Please do not use her tubes without a proper licence.

FTU Kit: I am using Alice in Wonderland TS (tagger size) by Designs by Vaybs. You can download this gorgeous kit here.
Mask: WSL Mask 117 created by Weescotslass Creations. You can download it here.

I am using a drop shadow of V/H 3, Opacity 50, blur 5, color black through out the tutorial unless otherwise stated.
Open a new 600x600 transparent image.
Copy your tube and paste as a new layer. Resize 80% and drop shadow.
Open element 21, copy and close the original. Select raster 1 and paste. Resize 80% and move to the right and up slightly. See mine for placement.
Open element 25, copy and close the original. Select the tree layer and paste. Resize 70% and move to the upper left side. See mine for placement. Using your magic wand with these settings,
click inside the frame of the key. Selections, modify, expand by 5. Open paper of choice. I am using paper 5, copy and close the original. Paste as a new layer. Effects, distortion effects, twirl with these settings.
Repeat the twirl 2 more times. Do not deselect.
Open element 17, copy and close the original. Add a new raster layer and edit, paste into selections. Do not Deselect. Select your paper layer, selections, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Move the frame layer above the paper and cup layer. Drop shadow the frame and cups.
Open element 26, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom right just above the root layer of the tree.
Open element 8, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom of the key frame on the left. Move this layer above the key frame layer. Drop shadow.
Open element 15, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the bottom left corner. See mine for placement. Drop shadow.
Open element 29, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom right corner of the tube. See mine for placement. Drop shadow.
Open element 20, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 50% and move to the bottom center. Effect, eyecandy 4000, gradient glow with the following settings.
Open element 18, copy and close the original. Select the bottom layer and paste.
Open paper of choice. I am using paper 1, copy and close the original. Select raster 1 and paste.
Apply WSL mask 117 and merge group.
Add your copyright and name.
If you do not want to animate, save as png.
Animation:
Add a new raster layer to your tag and send to the bottom. Flood fill white. Hide all layers except the white background, mask layer, cup layer and tree layer. Easy way to do this is select a layer in your pallet then go to Layers, view and none then click on the eye beside the layers you want open.
Open Animation shop.
Open Simone's Lucky 13 mng and resize 70%, Animation, resize animation 70%. Notice on the bottom left corner the frame count for this animation is 20 frames. We will need this many frames for our tag.
Ok now we are ready to get started on the animation.
Back to psp. edit copy special, copy merged.
Back to animation shop. Edit paste as new animation. (ctrl + V) now we need 20 frames. Holding down the ctrl + shift tap your L 19x this will give you your 20 frames.
Back to Simone's animation, select all and copy (ctrl + c)
Back to your background animation, select all (ctrl + a) and paste into select frames (ctrl + e).
The animation will be hanging off the mouse. You want to place it just above the y of the tree on the left side. see my example below. When you have the animation in the correct spot, left click. If you do not like were the animation was placed, hit ctrl + z to undo the paste and redo the ctrl + e.
You can close off Simone's animation as we do not need it anymore.
Back to psp. Now you want to view every thing except the white background, mask layer, cup layer and tree layer. Click on a layer in your layer pallet and click layers, view all then click on the eye next to the background, mask, cup and tree layer to hide it.
Select all, (this is important as we need the tag size to be the same size as the background) edit, copy special, copy merge.
Back to animation shop. Edit paste as new animation. (ctrl + V) now we need 20 frames. Holding down the ctrl + shift tap your L 19x this will give you your 20 frames.
Select all, ctrl + a and copy, ctrl + c. Select your background animation and select all, ctrl + a and paste into select animation, ctrl + e.
your tag will be handing of your mouse. move it until you find a spot you think is best and left click. Remember ctrl + z is your best friend with animation lol.
You now can close off the tag part of the animation as it is no longer needed.
View your animation by clicking on the film icon next to the arrow with the ?. Once happy with your animation. Save as GIF
Click on save as, name your tag, and the options box will pop up after you click ok. Click in customize and the optimization tab. Only the 3 middle boxes should be selected. Click next, next, next and finished.

Copy your tube and paste as a new layer. Resize 70% and drop shadow.
Open frame 2, copy and close the original. Select the top mask layer and paste. Resize 60%. Image, free rotate to the right by 15 degrees. Move to the upper right side (see mine for placement). Using your magic wand, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 5. Add a new raster layer under the frame. Open paper 1, copy and close the original. Standing on the new raster layer, paste into selections. Do not deselect. Maximize your tube, mirror and copy it. Standing on the paper layer, paste as a new layer and move into the frame. Once happy with the placement, selections, invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Change the blend mode of this layer to Hard Light and lower the opacity to 80. Drop shadow the frame. Merge the tube layer down onto the paper layer then merge the frame layer down to the tube and paper layer.
Open element 17, copy and close the original. Select the top mask layer and paste. Resize 80% and move to the upper left corner. Drop shadow.
Open element 3, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Resize 40%, image, free rotate to the right 15 degrees. Move to the upper right corner of the frame. Drop shadow.
Open element 6, copy and close the original. Select the top mask layer and paste. Move to the upper right corner so it sticks out from the top of the frame. Duplicate and resize this layer 80% and move down and to the right so it sticks out on the side of the frame. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 19, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the left so it covers part of the moon. Duplicate and move slightly to the right and down so it is behind the shoulder of the tube. Duplicate one more time and mirror. Move to the bottom right of the frame. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 14, copy and close the original. Select the top leaf layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the left so it covers both leaf layers. Duplicate and mirror. Move to the bottom right of the frame. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 1, copy and close the original. Select the top flower cluster layer and paste. Resize 40% and image, free rotate 15 degrees to the left. Move to the far left so it slightly covers the bottom of the flower. Drop shadow.
Open element 10, copy and close the original. Select the broach layer and paste. Resize 40% and move to the bottom left so it slightly covers the bottom of the broach. Drop shadow.
Open element 2, copy and close the original. Select the frame layer and paste. Resize 60% and move up and to the left slightly.
Open element 6, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the bottom right so it covers part of the tubes hair. Duplicate and mirror. Move slightly to the left and up. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 16, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the bottom left so it slightly overs the leaf. Duplicate and mirror. Move down and to the right slightly. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 20, copy and close the original. Select the top leaf layer and paste. Resize 30% and move to the bottom center. Drop shadow.
Open element 8, copy and close the original. Select the top leaf layer and paste. Resize 25% and move to the bottom right so it sticks up from the top of the skull. Drop shadow.
Open element 9, copy and close the original. Select the top leaf layer and paste. Resize 25% and move to the bottom top left of the skull. Duplicate and move to the bottom right of the skull. Drop shadow each layer.
Open element 15, copy and close the original. Select the black rose with the skull layer and paste. Resize 25% and move to the bottom center so it sticks out above the skull. Drop shadow.
Add any other elements you like.
Merge visible.
Image, resize by 600 pixels on the longest side, all layers checked.
Adjust sharpness, Unsharpen mask, radius 1 and clipping set to 2 and strength set to 35. Click ok.
Add your copyright and name.
Save as png.

Carousel

Supplies needed
I am using Adobe Photoshop 2021 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube: I am using Enys Guerrero's awesome tube "40-3". Please do not use this tube without a proper license. You can purchase it here.
PTU Kit: I am using a gorgeous kit called "Carousel" created by Gothic Inspirations. You can purchase her beautiful kit here.
FTU Animation: I am using Rebel Dezigns's awesome free animation 9. Third row first animation. You can download from her site here.
Mask included in the kit.
Please see Rene's Animation How-to for PS here.
Font of choice for your name. I am using Show Card Goth.
Plug in: None
Drop shadow of choice.
Please read all the Artist's/Designer's TOU.
To open an image, I click on the element or paper in the file folder and drag it into PS.
To transfer an element or paper in PS to my tag, I left click and drag it into my working canvas.
The other way is to left click and drag the element from the folder right onto your tag.
Either way you will get the same results but the resizing will be different :). I will be using the both method for this tutorial.
For resizing and rotating I use the Ctrl+T command.
To mirror or Flip go to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal (mirror) or Flip vertical (Flip).
Remember to save often.
Let's get started.
Open a new 800x800 transparent image. We will resize later.
Go to layers, New fill layer, solid color. When the pop up window appears type in FFFFFF and click ok.
Drag MaskDrop into the tag. Hold down the shift key and pull on the corner until the paper fills the canvas. Click the checkmark.
Drag Paper 4 into the tag. Hold down the shift key and pull on the corner until the paper fills the canvas. Click the checkmark.
Holding down the Ctrl key, click the mask icon. You should see marching ants. Standing on the paper layer go to Layers>Layer Mask>Reveal selection.
You can now delete MaskDrop layer as we no longer need it.
Drag Smudged into the tag. Click the check mark, mirror and move to the top left of the mask.
Drag Ticket into the tag. Resize 55% and move to the bottom right of the mask.
Drag Doodle into the tag. Click the check mark and move to the top left of the mask.
Drag WA4 into the tag. Click the check mark and move to the top center of the mask.
Drag frame 7 into the tag. I resized it to fit the tube I'm using. My dimensions are W: 85.65% x H: 100.41%. Click the checkmark and move to the upper left of the mask just under the wordart.
Select the layer under the frame. Drag paper 3 into the tag and resize 71%. Move into the frame.
Select the frame layer. Using the magic wand, click inside the frame. Go to Select>Modify>expand by 3.
Select the paper layer. Go to Layers>Layer Mask>Reveal selection.
Select the frame layer.
Drag the main tube into the tag. Resize 62% and move to the center of the frame so her arms line up with the frame.
Drag Ribbon5 into the tag. Resize 58% and move to the top left of the frame.
Drag Balloons into the tag. Click the check mark and move to the top left of the frame.
Drag CottonCandy into the tag. Resize 20% and rotate 12 degrees. Move to the top right of the frame.
Drag Carousel into the tag. Resize 57% and move to the bottom of the cotton candy.
Drag RibbonWrap into the tag. Resize 42% and move to the bottom left of the tube so it covers the edge.
Drag Bling into the tag. Resize 303% and move to the bottom of the tube.
Drag Heart 1 into the tag. Resize 41% and move to the bottom right of the tube.
Drag Keys into the tag. Resize 87% and move to the bottom of the tube so it covers the edge of her hair on the left.
Drag Horn into the tag. Resize 50% and move to the center of the keys.
Drag Carousel into the tag. Resize 220% and move to the bottom of the ride sign.
Drag Mask into the tag. Resize 35% and move to the right side of the carousel.
Drag Tent into the tag. Resize 33% and move to the bottom right of the mask.
Drag TopHat into the tag. Resize 9% and move to the bottom of the horn.
Drag Box into the tag. Resize 45% and move to the bottom right of the tent.
Drag Coins into the tag. Resize 40% and move to the bottom right of the top hat.
Drag Dice into the tag. Resize 32% and move to the bottom left of the coins.
Drag BlackBird into the tag. Resize 45% and move to the left so it is perched on the key.
Add any other elements you like and make any adjustments to the layers.
Crop away any extra space.
Image, Image Size and resize 650 on the longest side.
Oh almost forgot we need to drop shadow all of our elements. I actually do the drop shadow at the end :)
Select the element on the bottom of your tag in the layer pallet and double click it.
A layer style window will pop up. Click on Drop shadow. and use the following settings.
Now right click on the layer you just applied the drop shadow. Click copy layer style.
Now click on the layer above and hold down the shift key, select the layer under the paper layer. Rick click and paste layer styles.
Select the frame layer, holding down the shift key, select the top layer. Right click and paste layer styles. Drop shadow complete :)
Select the tube layer, right click and duplicate.
Standing on the duplicate layer, right click and clear layer style. Go to Filter, Blur, Gaussian Blur and type in 3. Click ok. Change the blend mode to soft light.
Add your copyright and name.
If you do not want to animate. Hide the white background layer Save your tag and export as png.
Might want to grab a coffee :)
Open Rebel Dezigns psd file in PS. You will notice that there is 25 layers in this animation and it does not have the group layer. That is ok as we are going to learn how to do this so it matches the animation layers of the tube.
We need to group all odd the layers. Starting from layer 25, hold down your control key and select each odd layer so the next one will be 23 then 21 etc. Once all the odd layers are selected (the layers will be highlighted in blue) we need to group them. All odd layers selected?
Next we need to group these layers. Go to Layers, Group layers or Ctrl + G on the Keyboard. You will see group 1 folder at the top. Make sure Group 1 is selected.
Select the layer you would like the animation to be placed. I selected the mask layer.
Back to the animation. Click on Group 1 and drag it into your tag. Ctrl+T and resize 70%. Move to the center of the tag. Now standing on the group layer hold down the Ctrl key, left click on the mask icon. You should see marching ants. Still standing on group 1 layer, go to Layers, Layer mask, reveal selection.
Close the original animation and don't save changes.
Click on the little white arrow beside Group 1 to expand it. Click on the eyeball of each layer to hide it but leave frame layer 1 visible. Click on the arrow beside group one to hide it as we do not want to accidentally make any changes.
Next make sure your animation viewer is open on the bottom of PS. I you do not see a row that has Timelines on the bottom, go to Windows, Timelines.
Next is animating.
Click on the little icon with four lines at the right end of the animation screen then select make frames from layers.
You are going to see a big mess in the animation window but we are going to fix this.
Click on the first frame and click on the trash can in the animation window. Repeat this until you reach the first frame of the animation.
Now you should be at the first frame of the animation. Click on frame 14 and hit the trash can. Repeat for all the remaining frames. You should be left with 13 frames in the animation window. This is the amount of frames for our animation.
This next step is very important. Any changes you do from here you must be on frame 1 in the animation window. It will be highlighted in blue.
Go to the bottom of your tag in the layers pallet. Make sure you have animation frame 1 selected.
Click on the eyeball beside each layer to make it visible. For the white base layer you may have to click on the eyeball a couple of times to make it visible in all the animation frames. It's a Photoshop thing. Do not touch the group layer.
Next, I want to slow down the animation. With the first frame selected, hold down the shift key and click on frame 13. This will select all the frames.
Next, click on the little black arrow beside the 0 sec as we want to change the speed. A pop up window will appear.
I selected 0.1 Sec. Now click on the play button to view the animation. Click on it again to stop it.
Click frame 1 again so we don't accidentally make any changes.
Now to save our tag as a gif.
Go to File>Export>Save for web (Legacy).
A new pop up window will appear. Change the settings to my screen shot below. Click on the image to enlarge it if needed. Click save. My screen shot will look different but the settings are the same.
