Lift Off
This tutorial was written by me on July 26, 2020. The results are of my own imagination. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.
Please DO NOT claim this tutorial as your own.
This was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.
Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.
Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Anytime you resize an element or tube you should sharpen it. Go to adjust, sharpness, sharpen.
Let's get started.
Remember to save your tag often in case psp crashes. I always save my tags as a pspimage. It keeps all the layers and if you make tags for others you will always have the template.
Open a new 750x800 transparent image. We will resize later.
Add a new layer and flood fill with white.
Open paper of choice. I am using paper 42, copy and close the original. Paste as new raster layer then go to Layers, new mask layer, from Image and locate the mask in the drop down. Apply the mask and merge group.
Open element 220, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 60% and sharpen. Move to the top left of the mask.
Open element 102, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 70% and sharpen. Move up slightly.
Open element 85, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the top left of the spray.
Open element 216, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the top of the mask.
Open element 213, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 60%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the right of the tree and slightly down.
Open element 217, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the upper left of the tree.
Open element 56, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the upper left side of the mask. See mine for placement.
Open frame 19, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Drag this layer under the clock and move to the left side of the clock.
Open frame 10, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move over the clock on the left side.
Open element 236, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 80%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the left so it overlaps the clock.
Open element 106, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40%, mirror, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the right side of the mask over the cloud. See mine for placement.
Open element 100, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 50% and sharpen. Drag this under the waterfall and move to the right side of the mask under the rock. Duplicate and merge down. Duplicate and mirror. Move this layer so it slightly overlaps the water on the bottom. Merge down. Duplicate this layer and move down so it is under the water. Merge down and drop shadow. See mine for placement.
Open element 91, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the top of the water by the rocks.
Open element 103, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the water.
Open element 105, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the grass.
Open element 147, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the bridge.
Open element 126, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of element 147.
Open element 186, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the clock on the left.
Open element 153, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the stem of element 186.
Open your animated tube psd file. Hits Shft+D on your keyboard to duplicate the tube. Close the original. Copy only frame 1 as we are using this as a temporary placement. Resize 40% all layers checked. Move down slightly.
Open element 225, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the tube.
Open element 82, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Drag this under the wordart and move to the bottom right of the tube.
Open element 7, copy and close the original. Select the top layer and paste. Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left over the wordart.
Open Designs by Kiya's animation 64. Shift + D to duplicate it and close the original. Do not save any changes as a psd file will merge into one layer. We do not want this to happen.
Drag this layer down the layer pallet to a spot you like. I dragged it down to just below the cloud. Resize 40% and move to the center of the clock. This is just a temporary placement layer.
Add any other elements you like and make any adjustments to the layers.
Crop away any extra space. Resize 650 on the longest side, all layers checked.
Add your copyright and name.
Next step. We need to group some layers so it is easier to copy and paste into animation shop.
Starting from the bottom.
Hold down the ctrl key and select each layer until you reach Kiya's ani temp layer. Do not include this layer. Go to layers, new group layer. Click on the link Icon and then click on the little white arrow to hide the sub-layers. Delete Kiya's temp ani layer.
Select the layer above group 1 and repeat the steps above until you reach the tube layer. Do not include the tube. Go to layers, new group layer. Click on the link Icon and then click on the little white arrow to hide the sub-layers. Delete temp tube layer.
We do not have to group the layers above group 2.
Ok we are now finished our tag and ready to animate.
Open Animation shop and go back to psp.
Select group 1 layer and go to edit, copy.
Back to Animation Shop.
Edit, paste as new animation or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.
There are 12 frames in Barbara Jensen's animated tube so we will need 12 frames of group 1.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift and tap the L 11 times. This will give us the 12 frames we need.
Next step.
Open Kiya Designs animation 67.mng. As you will see there are 16 frames but we only need 12. We are going to cull the animation.
Go to edit, select all or Ctrl + A on the keyboard.
Go to Animations, Cull Animations. A pop up box will open. Type 4 in the box and click ok. We now have 12 frames.
Next we need to resize the animation. All the frames should still be selected.
Go to Animations, resize animation.
When the pop up box appears resize it by 40%.
Next go to edit and copy.
Back to your tag frame layers. Select all.
Edit, paste into selected frames or Ctrl+E on the keyboard.
The ani will be hanging off the mouse pointer. Move it into place, about center of the clock, and left click the mouse button. If you do not like the placement of the ani, just hit ctrl + z and ctrl + e again.
Close out Kiya's ani and do not save changes.
Back to psp.
Select all.
Select group 2 and copy. Note were the placement is on the tag.
Back to Animation Shop.
Edit, paste as new animation or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift and tap the L 11 times. This will give us the 12 frames we need. Select all.
Next go to edit and copy.
Back to your tag frame layers. Select all.
Edit, paste into selected frames or Ctrl+E on the keyboard.
The ani will be hanging off the mouse pointer. Move it into place and left click the mouse button. If you do not like the placement of the ani, just hit ctrl + z and ctrl + e again.
You can close out the group 2 animation as we no longer need it. Do not save changes.
Next.
Open Barbara Jensen's lift off mng in animation shop. Select all and resize by 35%.
You can close out Barbara's animation as we no longer need it. Do not save changes.
Back to psp.
Click on they eyeball next to group 1 and 2 to hide it. We only want the top part visible. Edit, copy special, copy merged.
Back to Animation shop.
Edit, paste as new animation or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift and tap the L 11 times. This will give us the 12 frames we need. Select all.
Next go to edit and copy.

Close the top part of the tag ani as we no longer need it. Do not save changes.
Now we need to slow down the animation. Go to Edit, select all or Ctrl + A. Animation, frame properties. In the display Time (in 1/100th sec): box type in 20 and click ok.
Go to file Save as, gif and click next and next until you hit finished. I use the default settings.
