This was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP 2018 but this tutorial should work with any version.

Animation shop (optional)

PTU Animated tube:  I am using a fabulous new Barbara Jensen bonus tube "Gothique" You can get this beauty for free when you purchase $9.00 or more on tubes at Barbara's store here.  This beauty is only available until August 15, 2020.  You can find Barbara's tubes here.

PTU Kit:  I am using an awesome kit called "Autumn Gothique" created by Pink Paradox Productions.  You can purchase this kit at Barbara Jensen's store here.

PTU Animation:  I am using Kiya Designs gorgeous animation from pack 30.  You can purchase her animation at Barbara Jensen's store here.

Mask:  Mask 86 by Vivienne's Paintbox. Thank you for your awesome masks.  You can download it from her blog here. I am using the jpg versions for this tutorial.  Open and minimize in PSP.

Font of choice for your name.

Plug in: None

Drop shadow of choice.

Vivienne's Paintbox has awesome drop shadow settings that I use a lot.  You can find the settings here and check out her awesome tutorials :)

Please read all the Artist's/Designer's TOU.

Anytime you resize an element or tube you should sharpen it.  Go to adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

Let's get started.

Remember to save your tag often in case psp crashes.  I always save my tags as a pspimage.  It keeps all the layers and if you make tags for others you will always have the template.

Open a new 750x800 transparent image.  We will resize later.

Add a new layer and flood fill with white.

Open paper of choice.  I am using paper 20, copy and close the original.  Paste as new raster layer then go to Layers, new mask layer, from Image and locate the mask in the drop down.  Apply the mask and merge group.  

Open element 179, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the top left of the mask.  See mine for placement.

Open element 17, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move over the moon.

Open element 162, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the top of the mask.  Duplicate and move to the bottom left of the mask just over the cage.

Open element 161, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the top right of the mask.

Open element 159, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 70%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the top right of the orange tree.

Open element 95, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 50%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move up and slightly to the right.

Open element 172, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 80%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom of the building.

Open element 173, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom of the mask.

Open element 98, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 60%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom of the mask just over the dripping blood.

Open element 171, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move to the bottom left of the building.  Duplicate and move to the bottom right of the bush.

Open element 185, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 40%, sharpen and drop shadow. 

Open element 61, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the bushes.

Open element 45, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom of the clock slightly to the left.

Open element 102, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 30%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the web.

Open element 104, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the flower pot.

Open element 14, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 25%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom center of the pumpkins.

Open element 105, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the flower pot.

Open element 5, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 17%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the web.

Select which layers you would like to use on the tube.  Once happy with your choice, edit, copy special, copy merge.  Resize 62%, sharpen and drop shadow.  Move up and slightly to the left.

Open element 130, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the tube.

Open element 13, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the tube.

Open element 128, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 20%, mirror, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the cauldron.

Open element 35, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the cauldron.

Open element 66, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the cauldron.

Open element 34, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 23%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the books.

Open element 31, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the wine bottle.

Open element 1, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 12%, sharpen and drop shadow. Move to the bottom right of the books in front of the wine bottle.

Open element 186, copy and close the original.  Select the top layer and paste.  Resize 15%, sharpen, duplicate, merge down and drop shadow. Move to the bottom left of the cauldron so the top of the web is just under the kitty.

Add any other elements you like and make any adjustments to the layers.

Crop away any extra space.  Resize 650 on the longest side, all layers checked.

Add your copyright and name.

Make sure your tag is saved as a psp image file as you do not want to loose it if psp crashes.

If you do not want to animate, hide the white background layer and save as png.

Might want to grab a coffee :)

Open Kiya's animated in psp.  Shift + D to duplicate it and close the original.  Do not save any changes as a psd file will merge into one layer.  We do not want this to happen.  

We need to group all the layers.  Starting from layer 16, hold down your control key and select each layer so the next one will be 15 then 14 etc until you reach frame 2.  Standing on frame 2, click on the eyeball on the left side of the frame layer.  Hold down the Ctrl key and select frame layer 1.  Once all the layers are selected (the layers will be highlighted in blue) we need to group them.  All layers selected? 

Next we need to group these layers.  Go to Layers, New layer group.  Scroll all the way to the top and you will see Group 1 with all the layers as sub layers.  

Select group 1, copy and close the original.  Select your tag layer and paste.  When you paste grouped layers it will always go to the top.  Standing on group one select the link icon to link all the layer.  Click the arrow beside the new group to hide all the sub layers.

Standing on Group 1, drag this group up the layer pallet to a spot you like.  I dragged it up to just above the large web layer.  Resize 50%, select your pick tool and move to the bottom of the web.

Ok we are now finished our tag and ready to animate.

Open Animation shop and go back to psp.

With only frame 1 of the animations visible, edit, copy special, copy merged.

Back to Animation shop.

Edit, paste as new animation or keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V.

**Back to psp.

Hide Frame 1 by clicking on the eyeball and unhide frame 2 by clicking on the eyeball. Edit, copy special, copy merged.

Back to Animation Shop.

We need to paste after current frame.  Go to edit, paste after current frame.  Keyboard shortcut  Shift+Ctrl+L**

Repeat from **to** until you have 16 frames in animation shop.  It will tell you on the bottom right corner how many frames you have.  

Go to file Save as, gif and click next and next until you hit finished.  I use the default settings.
