This tutorial was written by me on December 12, 2023. The results are of my own imagination.  Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental.

This was written assuming you have a working knowledge of PSP.

Please keep in mind that I write the tutorial as I am creating it.

Sometimes I may not explain properly where to place things so please see my example if you are ever in doubt :)

Supplies needed

I am using PSP 2018 but this tutorial should work with any version.

PTU Tube:  I am using Verymany's beautiful tube "Sweet Cappuccino 2".  Please do not use this tube without a proper license. You can purchase it here.

PTU Kit:  I am using a gorgeous matching kit called "Joyous Winter" created by Doodle by Design.  You can purchase her beautiful kit here.

Mask: xmask21_fecnikek (5). Thank you for your awesome masks.  You can download it from Fecnikek's blog here. 

Mask_Vivienne_0085.  Thank you for your awesome masks.  You can download it from her blog here. I am using the png for this tutorial.

Font of choice for your name.

Plug in: 

Mura Meister - Copies

 DSB Flux - Bright Noise (you can also use add noise if you do not have this plug in).

Animation Shop (optional)

Drop shadow of choice.

Please read all the Artist's/Designer's TOU.

Don't forget to sharpen each image that you resize.

Let's get started.

Open a new 800x800 transparent image. We will resize later.

Flood fill with white.

Copy Fecnikek mask and paste as a new layer.  Resize 15% and move to the top right.  Select all, float, defloat and add a new raster layer.

Copy paper 19.  Standing on the new raster layer, paste into selections.  Select none and delete the original mask layer.

Copy element 154 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 80% and move to the upper left of the mask.

Copy Frame 6 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and move to the center of the mask.  Using your magic wand, click in the center of the frame.  Selections, modify, expand by 5.  Add a new raster layer and drag it under the frame layer.

Copy paper 21.  Standing on the new raster layer paste into selections.  Do not deselect yet.

Mirror and copy the close up tube and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and again by 60%.  Move into the frame.  Once happy with placement, selections, invert and standing on the tube layer, hit delete on your keyboard.  Keep selected.  Change the blend mode to Soft light.  Duplicate the tube.  Merge down then merge down again to the paper.  Paste element 67 and resize 90% and move to the top of the frame.  The selection should still be inverted, hit delete on your keyboard.  Drop shadow the frame and icicles.

Copy element 125 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and apply Mura Meister Copies.  Number 10, Shift X 50 Shift Y 30 and click ok.  Drag this under your frame, paper layer.  Using your pick tool, push the sides in slightly so it fits nicely under the frame.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 140 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20% and apply Mura Meister Copies.  Number 12, Shift X 50 Shift Y 30 and click ok.  Drag this above element 125 layer.  Using your pick tool, push the sides in slightly so it fits nicely under the frame.  Drop shadow.

Select the frame layer.

Copy element 145 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and move to the bottom center of the frame.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 125 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and flip.  Move to the right side of the frame.  Duplicate and mirror.  Drop shadow each layer.

Copy element 138 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30% and drag under the flower layers.  Move to the bottom left of the frame.  Duplicate, mirror and flip.  Move to the top right of the frame.  Drop shadow each layer.

Copy element 15 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40% and move to the left side of the frame.  Duplicate and mirror.  Move to the right side of the frame.  Drop shadow each layer.

Copy element 59 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 70% and move to the right side of the frame  Duplicate and resize 80% move slightly to the right and down.  Drop shadow each layer.

Copy element 57 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 60% and move down and to the right of the trees.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 77 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, mirror and move to the right side of the evergreen.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 41 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 50% and move to the bottom of the evergreen.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 44 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 40%, free rotate to the right 20 degrees and move over the snowballs.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 36 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20% and mirror.  Move to the bottom of the snowballs.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 26 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 12% and move to the bottom of the snowballs.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 24 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 20% and move to the far left of the snowballs.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 29 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 30% and move to the left of the pail.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 2 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 15% and move to the top of the blankets.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 63 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 15% and move to the bottom of the blankets.  Drop shadow.

Copy your main tube.  Resize 30% and move to the left of the evergreen. Duplicate the tube.  On the duplicate go to Adjust, blur gaussian blur with the radius set to 3 and click ok.  Select the tube layer, select all, float, defloat and invert.  Select the duplicate layer and hit delete on your keyboard.  Select none.  Duplicate the duplicate.  Set the blend mode on the top duplicate to screen and lower the opacity to 30.  Select the bottom duplicate layer and set the blend mode to soft light and lower the opacity to 50.  Drop shadow your main tube.

Copy element 45 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 12% and move to the bottom of the tube.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 47 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 15%, mirror and move to the bottom right of the tube.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 39 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 6%, free rotate to the right 30 degrees and move to the bottom of the boots.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 30 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 10% and move to the bottom left of the tube.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 49 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 12% and move to the bottom right of the jar.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 10 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 12% and move to the bottom left of the boots.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 32 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 15% and move to the bottom of the jar.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 60 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 7%, free rotate 20 degrees to the left and move to the bottom of the ornaments.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 38 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 10% and move to the bottom left of the present.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 37 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 7% and move to the bottom right of the cup.  Drop shadow.

Copy element 48 and paste as a new layer.  Resize 12% and move to the bottom right of the cupcake.  Drop shadow.

Select the mask layer.

Copy and paste Vivienne's mask.  Resize 80% and mirror.  Move under the tube so it looks like she is sitting on it.  Select all, float, defloat and add a new raster layer.  Copy paper 5 and standing on the new raster layer, paste into selections.  Select none and delete Vivienne's mask.  Duplicate the mask layer.  Change the blend mode to multiply then merge down.

Crop away any extra space.  Resize 650 on the longest side, all layers checked.

Add your copyright and name.

If you are not going to animate.

Hide the white background layer Save your tag and export as png.

Animation:

Select the mask layer and duplicate it x2 for a total of three mask layers.  On the first layer, go to effects, DSB Flux - Bright noise set to 50 and mix.  Click ok.  Select the middle mask layer.  Repeat the bright noise but click on mix once.  Select the top mask layer and repeat bright noise but click on mix a few times and click ok.  Hide the two top mask layers.

Now you should have your bottom mask visible.  Copy merged.

Open animation shop and paste as New Animation.

Back to PSP.  Hide the bottom mask and make the middle mask visible.  Copy merged.

Back to animation shop.  Paste after current frame.

Back to PSP.  Hide the middle mask and make the top mask visible.  Copy merged.

Back to animation shop.  Paste after current frame.

Select all, duplicate frames.  Select all again and change the animation frame properties to 15.  View your animation and save as a gif. 

I use the default settings on the optimizing wizard when saving.
